console.log(a); \/\/ output is []<\/pre>\n\n\n\nThis is perhaps one of the fastest ways to empty an array, and great for even large arrays with many items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please note, the above method works if the original array is not referenced elsewhere. If it is referenced from another property or variable, then the original array will remain unchanged. Here is an example to demonstrate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
